Focus
An astounding 2.8 million Baby Boomers turn 65 this year, as will 10,000 people a day for the next 19 years. Coupled with the natural dangers of alcohol use and aging, Boomers came of age when illicit drugs were widely used and the age of people seeking substance abuse treatment is rising. Prescription drug misuse and interactions between pharmaceuticals and alcohol is an additional issue. Added concerns about dementia for an aging population complicate a lawyer's continuing practice. As we grow older, attorney impairment becomes a new problem. Learn how to assess yourself and help a colleague in this year's TRG substance abuse and stress program.
